Michel Comte, who grew up in Zurich, started as a painting restorer and became an alpinist and war reporter. As a photographer in the 1980/90ties he had played in the big league when stars like Miles Davis, Sharon Stone, Iggy Pop or Uma Thurman posed for his camera. But for several years now, he dedicates himself to contemporary art. Nature and ecology is the focus of his work, with artistic projects in the Arctic ice and on the Turkish-Syrian border.
