Happy to announce the German premiere of KASH KASH - Without Feathers We Can't Fly in DOK.fest Munich's DOK.horizonte competition!
Director Lea Najjar's debut feature documentary portrays her hometown Beirut when Lebanon is in crisis. It's inhabitants are frustrated by corruption and the failure of the state and corrupt elite, the city erupts in protests and one of the biggest explosions of the 21st century. The film won the CPH:DOX NEXT:WAVE Award in March.

DOK.fest Munich is also showing the German premiere of THIS STOLEN COUNTRY OF MINE by Marc Wiese in the DOK.panorama section. The film's composer Alva Noto (aka Carsten Nicolai) is the winner of the German Documentary Film Music Award 2022. He and director Marc Wiese will be in attendance.
