The Day the Sun Fell new awards
We are very happy to anounce that THE DAY THE SUN FELL just won at the the Festival International Jean Rouch in Paris!
The film was awarded the "Prix Anthropologie et développement durable" and the "Prix Mario Ruspoli" in the International Competition as well as a "Special Mention" in the Fleury Doc section, where films were screened to a group of detainees of the Fleury-Mérogis prison.
The film also recently won the 2016 David Plath Media Award for best film work on East Asian Anthropology (USA) and the 2nd Prize in the BIFED International Competition (Turkey).

New Doc Line-up addition: Gaza Surf Club
We are happy to announce that Berlin-based Little Bridge Pictures documentary film GAZA SURF CLUB is the newest addition to our Fall/Winter Line-up. Directed by Philip Gnadt and co-director Mickey Yamine, the film follows three surfers in the “the world’s largest open-air prison”, the Gaza Strip.
The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be shown next at IDFA in the 'Best of Fests' section. The theatrcial release in Germany via Farbfilm Verleih is planned for spring 2017.

Big congratulations are in order as OIGINAL COPY just won "Best Picture" and "Best Director" in the Documentary Features Competition at Fantastic Fest in Austin (USA) and LA BUENA VIDA took the main award as "Best Documentary" in the Boston Latino International Film Festival (USA).
Now we have all our finger's crossed for YOHJI YAMAMOTO | DRESSMAKER and ARLETTE in the New Filmmakers Competiton in 40. MOSTRA – São Paulo International Film Festival (Brazil) in October!
The festival will also host the international premiere of MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE NORTH in the Panorama section.
