AGGREGATE is comprised of observations in editorial offices, in public places and in the Federal Parliament in Germany. In a period of upheaval: the refugee crisis and right-wing populism test the democratic system. Without commentary, the film observes political and journalistic everyday life behind the scenes in Germany.
What language do politicians and editors use when they are among themselves? What happens when citizens meet up with politicians? How do newspaper and TV editorial teams report on issues? AGGREGATE is not a narrative but a collection of impressions and fragments of the present political and medial reality of German democracy.
